Evoking the noble silhouette of a Renaissance pilgrim flask, The Sovereign Costrel marries utilitarian tradition with aristocratic heraldry. The vessel features a circular, flattened body sheathed in hand-molded saddle leather, richly aged to a warm, burnished amber patina that bears subtle mottling from time and touch.
At the vessel's center sits an applied patinated brass coat of arms, dominated by twin rampant lions supporting an escutcheon beneath a royal coronet, grounded by an arched motto banner. The flask terminates in a spherical stopper wrapped in leather, cinched by a band of chased foliate brass work that mirrors the detailing around the neck collar. Standing on an integrated, molded leather base, the piece bridges Western frontier craftsmanship with European decorative motifs, transforming a functional canteen into a dignified sculptural relic.
