Rooted in the century-old glassmaking traditions of Bohemia, this five-piece sculptural suite transforms familiar pastoral forms into a study of Mid-Century modern minimalism and optical clarity. Crafted from solid, high-lead crystal, each figure balances substantial tactile weight with an airy, fluid silhouette. The suite is anchored by the proud 7-inch rooster—defined by an arching tail and upturned crest—accompanied by a graceful hen and three dynamic, pecking chicks captured in forward-leaning postures. At the center of each sculpture lies a frosted, milk-glass core (sommerso suspension) that diffuses light outward, surrounded by a thick casing of brilliant optical glass. Vivid cherry-red crown crests provide a sharp, chromatic punctuation against the pristine transparency of the bodies. Stripping away extraneous surface detail in favor of sweeping curves and internal refraction, the collection exemplifies the peak of Czech studio crystal: playful in subject, yet uncompromising in technical rigor and sculptural poise.
