Slumped Wine Bottle - cheese tray or a decorative plaque.

A curious artist collected empty wine bottles from New York City clubs & restaurants which hosted lavish Wall Street parties. These empty bottles are "slumped' and transformed into classy cheese trays or decorative art  plaques. The wine bottle label and vintage is a great conversation piece.

Further Info

"Original Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1965 Vintage Wine Cheese" presents a historically significant wine vessel transformed into functional art through expert glass manipulation. The deep emerald bottle retains its characteristic shape while featuring the particularly notable 1987 Mouton Rothschild label—a poignant vintage commemorating Baron Philippe de Rothschild with a golden-hued design featuring a distinguished face surrounded by grape clusters and foliage. The label's dedication inscription, "A mon père, le Baron Philippe de Rothschild, rénovateur de Mouton..." and the motto "Mouton ne change" in distinctive red script add historical and emotional depth to this preserved piece.

About Artwork: Original Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1965 Vintage Wine Cheese

This 13-inch long glass tray represents an intersection of winemaking heritage, commemorative art, and creative repurposing. The 1987 vintage holds special significance in Mouton Rothschild's history as it honors the passing of Baron Philippe, who revolutionized the estate and initiated the tradition of artist-designed labels. Through the glass slumping technique, this meaningful bottle has been carefully heated and transformed from vessel to functional art object while preserving its cultural resonance and visual identity. The twisted wire handle at the neck adds a practical hanging element while referencing the bottle's original form. When displayed in contemporary spaces, this piece transcends mere decoration to become a conversation-starting artifact that connects viewers to Bordeaux winemaking tradition, family legacy, and sustainable artistic transformation.
