Susie Cipolla Art

Susie Cipolla, born in Vancouver in 1958, discovered her artistic talent early but initially pursued a career in physiotherapy. In 2009, a painting workshop with Brian Atyeo reignited her passion for art, leading her to leave her healthcare career and fully commit to developing her skills as an artist. Over the next six years, she honed her craft through workshops and classes with accomplished artists, with Atyeo remaining her most influential mentor.

Working primarily in acrylic, Cipolla's art is distinguished by her excellent sense of composition and color across various subjects, from wild animals and Pacific Northwest landscapes to boats and farm animals. Her work often features earthy red underpainting, creating a common thread throughout her diverse subjects. Now living north of Pemberton, British Columbia, Cipolla maintains a large studio where she creates and hosts learning opportunities for other artists, while her work is represented by galleries throughout Canada.
