The Team Behind Canvas & Bronze

Vinit & Vidhi Verma: A Journey Through Art

The story of Canvas & Bronze begins with Vinit and Vidhi Verma, whose shared passion for artistic discovery has shaped their lives for over three decades. What started as personal collecting during their global travels has evolved into a curated gallery experience that emphasizes the emotional resonance and cultural significance of each piece.

As the gallery's lead curator, Vinit brings a unique perspective shaped by his career as a technologist in the Oil & Gas industry. These professional travels became opportunities for artistic exploration, leading him through more than 25 countries including the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, India, England, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. With each discovery, Vinit developed a deeper appreciation for how art transcends cultural boundaries while still honoring its origins.

"I grew up with an art print of Van Gogh's bridge hung in our house," Vinit recalls. "That painting became more than a masterpiece to me – it traced my happy childhood and became part of my psyche."

These formative experiences shaped his belief that the most meaningful art creates personal connections that deepen over time, an approach that guided Canvas & Bronze through its evolution from physical gallery to digital platform.

Vidhi's global perspective was shaped by her years with Cathay Pacific Airlines, where she experienced the artistic traditions of numerous cultures firsthand. After her flying career, she devoted herself to creating a loving home for their family, bringing the same attention to detail and appreciation for beauty to both their home and the gallery's collection.

Her influence on Canvas & Bronze can be felt in the careful consideration given to how each piece might bring joy to collectors' daily lives. This perspective has been particularly valuable as the gallery has evolved from its pre-COVID physical location to a primarily online presence, extending its reach while maintaining the personal connections formed during exhibitions in 2022 and 2023.

Together, the Vermas have built Canvas & Bronze into more than just a gallery – it's a platform for sharing the stories, emotions, and cultural significance behind each carefully selected artwork, connecting collectors with pieces that resonate not just visually, but emotionally.
